What was one of the best moments in your pregnancy?

We chose to be surprised with the gender and the moment my husband told me the baby was a girl I was totally blown away! I had convinced myself we were having a boy! Now I can't imagine it any other way. With #2 on the way in July, I am equally as excited for that special moment.

 

What do you wish someone had told you about having a newborn?

That it is equally as important (and okay) to take care of yourself because you have to be feeling well in order to take care of another human! It's okay to take a nap, get a massage, be ALONE :)

 

What’s the one thing you can’t live without?

Aquaphor! A little for her tushy, a little for mama's lips! That and the aden + anais over-the-shoulder burpy bibs which were life savers.

 

What’s your favorite part of being a mother?

Seeing the world for the first time again through Maia's eyes! The smallest things (a shadow, a funny noise, a new flavor) bring her so much joy!

 

Do you have a typical mom anecdote that makes you smile?

The amount of times I made coffee without putting coffee grinds in the machine is too many to count :)
